  • Salaam Yo'all. OK, here is a situation. I do come across a lot of ANTI-HYDROS once in a while. This one non-hydro dude at my work (also a member of naseeb) sounds very 'anti-hydro' to me. Some of the things I noted: (1) He sez U hydros cannot speak proper urdu (2) He sez Hydro guys/gals are always into clubs/dating... (3) He sez he dont like Hydros cuz of their attitude (4) Tries to imitate Hydro urdu (5) ALWAYS MENTIONS THAT HE HOPES THIS HYDRO GET TOGETHER AT ISNA BE A FAILURE (6) and more.... W... Read More

  • My soul cries out? Sometimes in life - I feel so overwhelmed. So much to do - so little time. So many expectations - so little resources. So many people to please. At every turn there seems to be someone waiting for me to behave in a certain way, think in a certain way, to be the person THEY want me to be. Sometimes I feel like I?m running a race, and the harder I run, the further the finishing line seems to be moving away? And then I stop. I can?t carry on like this. Who am I? I don?t even know. I seem to... Read More

  • One thought that came to mind out of the "I'm going to marry a muslim, but..." Village Journal was how do you women feel about the fact that A LOT of men (I guess) screw around with non-muslim women to have fun and then expect to settle down with a Muslim, expecting her to be pure, hot, and fresh? Do you feel you need to at times compete with that?

    July 23, 2005 at 4:10am

  • 20 beauty tips that will keep you looking your best... Avoid panda eyes. Invest in waterproof make-up, like mascara, to get you through the summer months, it won?t smudge when you swim or sweat! Your face needs more protection from the sun than your body. Invest in a higher SPF sun block for your face. Remember that 11am-4pm is the time that you are most prone to sun burn, so keep well covered with sun block, even if it?s overcast. If you train by swimming in a pool, spritz some leave-in condition... Read More

  • No, I don't live in London, however I wish I did. My first trip to London was in December 2001 with my sisters. It was a vacation that changed my life. I fell in love with the city. I kept going back everytime I would get time off from work. There is just something captivating about this city. The fusion of modernity and historical charm all mashed together everywhere you go. Fleet Street, Kensington Gardens, Trafalgar Square, London Bridge. Each time I have gone, I always get on the Big Bus Tour and never g... Read More

  • Well, chum-chums, summer is on it's way. Even though it may not seem like it because the weather hasn't spoiled us much this spring, trust me-June will be here in no time. So, I thought it would be nice for us naseebers to gather up (once again with close-to-perfect attendece :)) somewhere in the open air (pick-nicking that is) and share our ideas about alternative sources of energy and asset allocation for pension plans. :):):) Seriously, I think it'll be great to get together, sometimes in June, and per...
