  • So you clicked on this village link, but are wondering, who is Sultan Bahu anways? Good question! So lets start by looking at what Sultan Bahu says about himself. "When I was still a very young boy, I was standing one day near my home in Shorkot (a town in Pakistan), when all of a sudden, I saw a horse rider approach me - a man of highly regal and commanding demeanor, with an aura of radiance and glory about him. He held my hand, and pulled me up, seating me behind him on the horse. Initially I was very fr... Read More

  • Spring is here, can you believe it? The first day of May and what better way to celebrate the coming of spring than with flipflops. They come in all different styles they can be casual and fun for people, who just don't care, or nice and bejewelled for people who just love to show off their shoes. Unfortunately, i am here in Chicago, and my toes must remain hidden, as are all of ours for those who live in the North.

Summer is almost near - 7 more weeks and bye bye to flip flops HELLO thongs (I am talking about the sandles!)

So he took his companions with him, and set out on the search for the water of life. Along the way, he found the company of Khizr (the green one) who was after a similar persuit. • Jerusalem, by virtue of the number and diversity of people who have held it sacred, may be considered the most holy city in the world. To the Jewish people it is Ir Ha-Kodesh (the Holy City), the Biblical Zion, the City of David, the site of Solomon's Temple, and the eternal capital of the Israelite nation. To Christians it is where the young Jesus impressed the sages at the Jewish Temple, where he spent the last days of his ministry, and where the Last Supper, the Crucifixion and the Resurrection took place. • I used to run in high school. I was particularly a sprinter but I also ran distance. A few times I've tried to get back into it but a few things hold me back. One, man is it hard to start from scratch again - my knees hurt, I get shin splints right away, etc. Secondly, I wear hijab and I struggle to find a time and place to run where I really feel comfortable with it. I was wondering if anyone had similar experiences, suggestions, etc.

  • I think one of my favorite story lines that star trek covered was the Borg. It penetrated all the series starting from TNG to Enterprise (the one that just got cancelled). Of course my favorite episode (or series of episodes) was the one where Cpt. Picard almost gets converted into a Borg, but the last two episodes of Voyager where the borg hive is destroyed are a close second. What about some others? :)

The first link is to Rutgers University Law School, which was the first law school in the nation to offer a course on animal rights law as part of their regular curriculum. The second site provides legal information for animal rights groups. www.animal-law.org www.instituteforanimalrightslaw.org
