Here you go another one... but not as good as Joe's one. It was said that at Chicago Willard Airport today, an individual, later discovered to be a public school teacher, was arrested trying to board a flight while in possession of a compass, a protractor, and a graphical calculator. Authorities believe he is a member of the notorious Al-Gebra movement. He is being charged with carrying weapons of math instruction.

How important is health to you guys? What do you do about it? Do you eat healthy ... if so, how often? Do you work out? How difficult is it to work out and to eat healthy--especially with work or school? What do you do? From what I've seen, we're a very unhealthy group ... well, at least the south asians. I KNOW we all think about weight and similar issues, but most of us don't know enough about what living a healthy lifestyle entails (except for what flows in popular media), and an even greater percentage j... Salaam, I am posting some information I received regarding the following case in NY: (it's a bit lengthy, contact info at the bottom) Assalamo Alaikum: Two Muslim teenage girls have been detained and their reputations questioned by false accusations of a national security threat. Yet we are confident that these girls are honorable-- one from Guinea, and the other is from Bangladesh. As you may have heard in your masjid or read recently in the New York Times, ICNA Relief has been working directly wit... Read More

Received a phone call once... came in as Withheld... didn't fell like picking it up but yet I did. Said Ello... caller:Hello... sK: Yes... lady Caller: is this a wrong number... sK:Yes it is, how can i help you.... lady caller: Just dropped in to say Ello... Both the parties guessed their first name correctly by exchanging the first letter of our names. Talked a bit and ended the call in a cultured manner. I Never heard back from her again. Happens once in life.. Never again?

This happens even before i know they are arabic, and i would assume, before they know i am. I would say that perhaps i make people nervouse but this doesn't happen with non-arab girls. Whats the deal? i'm assuming since there are 50 members here, that at least 27 will be female (just percentages) and since the title is arab american at least 19 w... Read More
