  • I've been hearing the word 'commitmentphobe' bandied about a great deal recently. Usually in relation to men. However, this being an equal-opportunities Village, we are not going to be making any such assumptions here. My question is: is there such a thing as a commitmentphobe? Or is it that they haven't met the right person yet??

  • If you love something, set it free. If it comes back, it was and always will be yours. If it never returns, it was never yours to begin with. If, however, it just sits in your living room, messes up your stuff, eats your food, uses your telephone, takes your money, and never appears to have noticed that you actually set it free in the first place, You either married it or gave birth to it!

  • Assalamu 3alaikum to all, Jazakum Allahu khairan for this Village, wallahi it's an awesome thing to know about fellow shabaab that share the flight bug. The opening statements by the village founder are truly excellent, masha' Allah. There's absolutely nothing in this world that comes close to the exhiliration of aerobatics on a beautiful day. Also, with all the possible achievements in life, few can compare in jubilation to a PERFECT landing - the sort that are so soft, you can feel the w... Read More

  • complete vs incomplete proteins I would like to reduce the amount of meat and animal products I eat. At the same time - I've always read about how important it is to eat "complete proteins" which are found in animal products most easily. I've also read before that you can combine certain non-animal foods to make a complete protein - i.e. they complement each other and each has the amino acids that the other is missing. Suppose then (for the sake of simplicity!) I eat 1 cup of lentils... Read More

  • i found this on someobody83's village entry, thought i would share it with you guys: A little boy wanted $100 very badly and prayed for weeks, but nothing happened. Then he decided to write God a letter requesting the $100. When the postal authorities received the letter addressed to God, Canada, they decided to send it to the Prime Minister. Paul Martin was so amused that he instructed his secretary to send the little boy a $5 bill. Martin thought this would appear to be a lot of money to a little bo... Read More

  • If you don't already know.......I LOVE milk!! I also have a horrible sweet tooth!!! I'm at my happiest with any dessert and and a big jug of milk and large glass. Not your regular 250 ml glass......but my special, "MILK" glass that is 3 times the size of your regular glass. Since I love milk, and I love desserts, its only natural that my favorite desserts are milk based. My all time favorite 'sweet thang' is ice cream!! • Most people who are trying to loose fat will tell you how they can't seem to make that thick layer of fat around the middle budge! For this reason.........recent studies showing that milk can help people loose the unwanted pounds, especially around the middle have brought milk back into the limelight, exactly where it belongs ;) Mind you.....drinking more milk alone is not sufficient. You do have to reduce your calorie intake. However, those who drink more milk on a reduced calorie diet, lose more wei... Read More

  • I have came across many individuals Testimonials and whenever a Guy is commenting about some naSeeber's (girls) they mention or attach the Word BEAUTIFUL based on their Looks. My question is, aren't we all the same. I was made from the same sand like you were then why distinguish about the l@@kS. All i know in my view that no one is beautiful with regards to looks but i do know we are B-E-A Utiful/sexy from the inside.. in one way or another.
